Maya Staylor, M.S.
A
consultant on CEI's professional team, Maya Staylor is a specialist in Writing,
Speech Communication, and Organizational Communication. Her primary professional
activities include business writing training, executive speech coaching,
presentation and persuasive skills training, speech writing, negotiation skills
training, critical thinking development, and creativity enhancement.
Ms. Staylor is an award-winning speech coach, and since 1995 has led college
speech and debate teams to national titles. She herself has also earned over 100
national awards in competitive public speaking.
Maya has served as a faculty member in the English and Speech Departments at
Northwest Missouri State University and currently serves as a member of the
Speech Communication faculty and the Assistant Director of Forensics at
California State University, Los Angeles. She recently won the 1999 Outstanding
Teaching Award in Speech Communication. Maya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
from the University of Colorado and a Master's degree from Northwest Missouri
State University.
